Offered by Francesca Genco of Lilac Music and Jeni Swerdlow of DRUMMMRenew yourself in the company of women as we transition from Winter to Spring! Prepare to soothe, connect, and awaken the mind-body-spirit through rhythm, voice, and movement.

We will drum, sing, dream, draw, dance, and walk the land of the beautiful Black Mountain Retreat Center in Cazadero, CA. 
Just 2 hours drive from S.F. Bay Area!

In addition to leading us in embodied song, Francesca will offer yoga classes as part of our weekend together. Jeni will facilitate the funnest, most empowering drumming sessions you ever dared to experience AND lead us in creating our personal visions through the process of writing and collage!

Lovely accommodations, delicious vegetarian meals, hiking trails through forest and meadows await you! Bodywork sessions with the incomparable Jeannie McKenzie will also be available.

Open to all levels of experience and creativity, this will be a safe and supportive environment in which to explore, play, discover, and nurture both inside and out.

About the Facilitators:
Francesca Genco is a singer and sound healer, yoga instructor, bodyworker and interdisciplinary arts teacher.  She is the founder of Song of the Body, which offers classes, workshops and retreats in Embodied Voice, yoga and creative expression. Francesca’s classes and private sessions are based in creating an intimate relationship with the body as we learn to listen and respond to its natural intelligence and resonance. www.lilacmusic.com

Percussionist and registered art therapist Jeni Swerdlow, MA-ATR is a dynamic and engaging facilitator, presenter, and performer. Founding DRUMMM Rhythmic Events in 2000, her interactive, “hands-on” group drumming programs have engaged thousands of participants at a wide variety of events in the U.S. and abroad. She is a REMO endorsed drum circle facilitator, trained HealthRHYTHMS facilitator, and lifelong student of West African drumming and world percussion. Swerdlow is best known for her innovative strategies and playful attitude that make drumming engaging, accessible, meaningful and fun  for all levels, ages, and backgrounds. www.drummm.com
