2/17 Drum Circle for Haiti: A Hands-On Fundraiser @ La Pena (Berkeley, CA)
Doors open @ 7pm. Drum Circle @ 7:30-9:30pm

Join us in an evening of drumming for our Haitian sisters and brothers. All donations go to Direct Relief International (www.directrelief.org)--100% of their proceeds go towards medical aid in Haiti.
All ages are welcome to participate. No prior drumming experience is necessary. Bring a drum or percussion instrument if you have one, there will be some drums provided. Enter the raffle to win a REMO Festival Djembe!

2/23 WORKSHOP: Music for Minors II presents: Drummm Workshop--"Rhythm Facilitation Training for Music Educators: Fostering Learning through Rhythm" (Fremont, CA)

7 – 9 p.m.

-Learn how to express yourself on drums, and be able to motivate children to do the same!

-Explore rhythms, games, and drum circle activities that will engage and inspire youth.

-Enjoy a fun, stimulating experience while team-building and developing bonds between participants.

-No drumming experience is necessary. Instruments will be provided for use during the workshop.

-Who should attend: Music Docents, Classroom Teachers, School Principals, College Students, Seniors, Retired Teachers, Relatives and Friends of Children and the Arts.

Workshop is FREE to all MFMII Docents, Classroom Teachers and Principals of MFMII Schools. Non-MFMII Participants: $15-20.

Join Jeni Swerdlow's DRUMMM Intensive workshop and get your hands dancing in rhythm on the drum! Introduction to hand-drumming techniques, world rhythms, and freestyle drumming activities will build skills and develop confidence.
